Description
The skyBeacon is a 2020 compliant, class B1S ADS-B UAT transmitter and WAAS GPS. It was created to be easy to install and configure by allowing it to be integrated into a wing tip position light - remedying the need for costly panel modifications and new transponders. It features a a UAT (978MHz) transmitter with a blade antenna that minimizes installation and antenna placement errors. The built-in WAAS GPS offers rule compliant position data for ADS-B transmission without the need for additional wiring or external GPS antenna mounting. The power transcoder decodes legacy Mode C and Mode S replies. The skyBeacon package also has has an integrated altitude encoder that doesn't require a connection to static pressure systems, but rather benefits from being mounted in an ideal altitude sensing location and contains Continuous Calibration™ technology.Continuous Calibration™ technology (Patent Pending) automatically and continuously calibrates the integrated altitude encoder for correspondence with the aircraft transponder’s altitude encoder, allowing compliant operations in remote and challenging environments. Final touches include LED position and anti-collision lights.
