Description
The 451-101 panel mount carbon monoxide detector is designed for FAA certified Part 23 aircraft, and Part 27 and Part 29 rotorcraft. Compact and lightweight, this CO detector requires little panel space and provides highly accurate CO detection. This unit is perfect for builders and pilots who are looking for basic protection from the dangers carbon monoxide in their certified aircraft or helicopter.
Onboard CO sensor alarms warn users when CO levels measure greater than 50 ppm. When levels measure 50 to 99 ppm, a loud 85 db audible warning will sound along with a flashing amber LED light; and a red flashing light is triggered when levels exceed 99 ppm. The 451-101 will fit into a small 2.25 x 1.5 inch instrument hole and weighs only 3.5 ounces. To add another level of safety, an external annunciator light (sold separately) maybe installed.
Installation is authorized for Part 23, 27, and 29 aircraft/rotorcraft under Non-Required Safety Enhancing Equipment (NORSEE) and requires a minor alteration logbook entry by an IA.
