Designed by a pilot who has been flying for 55 years, it looks like NO flashlight that you've ever seen; the base, which also houses three triple 'A' batteries (about 3"X1.5" & 3/4" thick) has two flexible necks that extend outward about 10" and can be manipulated in any direction. At the end of each of the flexible necks are two Super LED lights in each head. One head is a clear lens the other is Red to help preserve your night vision. Each of the two heads provides the lighting power of 6 normal LED's. You have the option of using one or two of the Super LED lights on either or both heads with just a simple tap to the sensor switch. It's an ideal emergency light for power out situations at night. The LED's are rated at 100,000 hours and the light will operate continuously on one set of batteries for twenty hours. A strong spring clip (opens about 1.5" with a cushioned anti-slip pad) on the back of the base allows the light to be clipped to the glare shield, yoke, approach plate clip, sun visor or to the pilots garments.
